WHAT IS WEB HOSTING?

Short definition: A shared web hosting service or virtual hosting service or derive host refers to a web hosting service where many websites reside on one web server connected to the Internet. Each site "sits" on its own partition, or section/place on the server to keep it separate from other sites. This is generally the most economical option for hosting as many people share the overall cost of server maintenance.

Longer explanation: A web hosting service is a type of Internet hosting service that allows individuals and organizations to provide their own website accessible via the World Wide Web. Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server they own for use by their clients as well as providing Internet connectivity, typically in a data center. Web hosts can also provide data center space and connectivity to the Internet for servers they do not own to be located in their data center, called colocation.

How are we different: We put less accounts per server than many other web hosts, we limit the number of accounts per server to no more than 250 customers, not 500 or 1000. This is our limit per server. This allows each user to use more of the server without running into problems or slow downs. Also this means each user is allowed to use more of the CPU and RAM available on a server before running into problems about overusing resources. To put it simply, would you rather be one of 250 or one of possibly THOUSANDS of people trying to use a single CPU?
